Meat rabbit weak light fattening

Rabbits, especially meat rabbits, have retained some of their natural behaviors from the wild. These habits have been observed to influence their growth and feeding patterns. In fact, production experience has shown that meat rabbits grow faster in dimly lit environments. According to experiments, when rabbits were kept in dark cages for six months under identical feeding conditions, they gained 250 to 350 grams more than those raised in well-lit cages. This suggests that a low-light environment can significantly boost weight gain. In dim light, meat rabbits tend to change their natural behavior. Instead of being sluggish during the day and active at night, they become more balanced in their eating habits. Their food intake is more evenly distributed between day and night, which helps improve digestion and overall health. Additionally, living in a dim environment reduces external disturbances such as noise and visual stimuli. This leads to less stress, which in turn enhances their appetite and nutrient absorption. As a result, their growth rate improves, making it a beneficial condition for raising meat rabbits. However, while keeping meat rabbits in the dark is advantageous, long-term exposure to total darkness may not be ideal. To ensure their healthy development, there are two key factors to consider. First, maintaining clean cages is essential to prevent diseases caused by unsanitary conditions. Second, their diet must be well-balanced and nutritionally complete to support their growth and immune system. By carefully managing these aspects, rabbit farmers can maximize the benefits of a dim environment while ensuring the overall well-being of their animals.
