"Super rattan" fertilization with fertilizer

The root system of a plant, especially when using fermentation-based fertilizers, plays a crucial role in its overall health and development. To protect the delicate roots of young seedlings, it's essential not to place them directly on top of or in contact with basic fertilizers. These base fertilizers are typically slow-release, meaning they take time to break down and become available to the plant. If seedlings come into direct contact with these fertilizers, their roots may be damaged or burned. When planting, always keep the seedling’s roots separated from the basic fertilizer used during soil preparation. The nutrients required for the entire growing season are often provided through carefully prepared liquid solutions. Using products like goldfish bacterial fertilizer, after proper treatment, can be poured directly around the grape root system to supply essential nutrients for healthy seedling growth. Fertilization guidelines: 1) **Low concentration is key.** Start with a 1:4 ratio of human waste or manure to water, and gradually increase to 1:3 as the seedlings grow. This means one part fertilizer mixed with four parts water, or one part fertilizer with three parts water. Avoid increasing the concentration beyond 1:2. Before August, focus on nitrogen-rich fertilizers by adding 0.3%-0.5% urea to each application. After August, introduce phosphorus and potassium by adding 1% compound fertilizer to each liquid feed. Always make sure chemical fertilizers are fully dissolved before applying. 2) **Consistent and regular feeding is necessary.** To promote strong growth, maintain a diligent approach throughout the growing season. Once the seedlings have developed about eight leaves, apply liquid fertilizer every 7-10 days. This ensures a steady supply of nutrients that the plants can absorb over time. 3) **More frequent applications are better.** Don’t mistake “thin” fertilizer for “less.” Even with low concentrations, you should apply more frequently. Think of it like feeding a baby — just because the food is diluted doesn’t mean you should give less. When the roots aren’t yet mature enough to absorb nutrients on their own, you need to pour the solution directly around them, just as an adult would feed a child. So, ensure each application is sufficient in volume to allow the roots to take up the necessary nutrients. Only then will the fertilization process be truly effective. With the right method and consistent care, your seedlings will thrive.
