This environment allows harmful bacteria and protozoa to accumulate inside the crabs. Once moved to warmer cultivation areas, the crabs suffer from shell disease, often dying shortly after due to weakened immune systems and difficulty breathing. Young seedlings: These crabs are translucent, with a visible black line across their cephalothorax. They are very young and have soft, fragile shells, making them highly vulnerable to handling, transportation, and environmental changes. High-temperature seedlings: To speed up the breeding process and reduce costs, some nurseries raise water temperatures excessively. This causes the crabs to develop abnormally, resulting in poor cold tolerance and low survival rates during the critical incubation period. These seedlings are less resilient and more prone to disease.
