It's funny how life works sometimes. She had dismissed his first Facebook friend request without even realizing it was the same guy she'd been crushing on during church softball games—Jason, the one her family friend had tried to set her up with, the same guy she'd flirted with for one of *her* friends. It wasn't until he sent a second request with a clever note: "You're too good to be my friend on Facebook, but you can talk to me at softball?" that she realized it was him. And yes, that was the same Jason who always knew how to make her laugh. Fast forward to their first date—Italian food and a concert—and she was completely smitten.
Two years later, just before Jason had to move across the country for school, she walked into his house expecting something simple. Instead, she found herself following a trail of clues, photos, and heartfelt notes that said things like "I'm the luckiest man in the world." By the time she reached the final stop—a cozy spot with an empty chair surrounded by flowers and a guitar in his hands—it was clear what was happening. The proposal was perfect, just like their love story, followed by a romantic dinner of Italian food.
I think it's safe to say there will be plenty of pasta nights ahead for this couple. Their wedding is coming up in exactly two months, and I couldn’t be more excited for them.
