It’s Sunday once again, which means it’s time for one of my favorite weekly traditions... Sunday Citar!!
Here’s where we all share a quote or two—something inspiring, humorous, or touching that resonated with us this week. (Citar = to quote in Spanish)

A Cozy Evening

“There’s so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I’m seeing it all at once, and it’s almost overwhelming—my heart feels like it’s about to burst with emotion. But then I remind myself to breathe, to let go of the need to hold onto it, and instead embrace the fleeting moments as they flow through me like a gentle stream. In those moments, I’m filled with nothing but gratitude for every second of my life.” ~American Beauty

A Cozy Evening
A Cozy Evening

I just finished tucking the last of my little ones into bed. Tonight, our home is hosting a sleepover with cousins—two of my own kids and one borrowed family member sharing the same space. After hours of laughter, pillow fights, and giggling over the silliest things, they finally settled down, their energy waning as sleep took over the room. Watching them drift off, I found myself reflecting on the preciousness of these in-between moments—the quiet, the chaos, and everything in between. These are the times I cherish most, even when they test my patience.

It’s easy to celebrate the big milestones—birthdays, graduations, weddings—but what about the smaller, quieter moments that shape our lives just as deeply? The simple gestures of love and connection that happen every day. Like when my son grabs my hand during our walks, seeking comfort and reassurance. Or when my daughter surprises me with a handmade card, scribbled with hearts and bright colors, saying “This is for you, Mommy.” These moments, though small, carry immense weight, and they’re what make life beautiful.

A Cozy Evening

Even in the midst of the everyday hustle, I try to pause and appreciate the beauty in the mundane. Like the nights when my kids fight sleep, giggling uncontrollably under their blankets, or the mornings when I wake up exhausted yet grateful for their little voices filling the house. It’s the little things—like wiping sticky fingers after meals or sitting up late to soothe a nightmare—that remind me of the incredible gift of parenthood. I wouldn’t trade these moments for anything in the world.

A Cozy Evening

In the grand chapters of life, we often focus on the dramatic highlights—the weddings, the births, the graduations. But it’s in the quiet, unassuming moments that we truly live. Whether it’s sipping coffee in a cozy café or reading bedtime stories to my kids, these moments are where life happens. They remind me to slow down, to notice, and to be present in the now.

I’m grateful for it all—the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
