High-density aquaculture technology

The development of intensive and high density aquaculture technology plays an important role in the future aquaculture industry. There is great potential for the development of high-density freshwater fish farming using lakes, reservoirs and river channels. Suitable freshwater fish culture methods include cage fish farming, fence fish farming, and flowing water fish farming.
Cage fish. The scope of the adapted water area is wider and can be set in lakes, reservoirs, and rivers. As long as the water depth is greater than the height of the cage, normal breeding can be carried out, and one “water pond” can be built. It has more oxygen than land pond water, and has strong discharge capacity. It is more suitable for single-cultivation or multi-cultivation, high yield, easy management, and easy fishing. Intensive cage fish farming is a new technology for fish farming that combines the superior environmental conditions of large and medium-sized water bodies with the method of close-packed intensive culture of small water bodies. In the eutrophic water area, generally, 1 mu net cage is set for every 100 mu of water, and 1 mu net cage is set for 200 mu of medium-nutrient water area. Cage culture is one of the important ways for future natural waters.
Fence fish farming. It is suitable for large and medium-sized waters where the water level is low, the natural food is abundant, and the bottom is flat and shallow. The yield per mu of fence fish is generally 250-300 kilograms, and the high one is more than 800 kilograms.
Running water fish. High-density water-feeding fish farming is to use the water potential of passing water in areas with abundant water sources, select the topography of the gaps, build shallow and small fish ponds, divert water to drain water, concentrate large-scale fingerlings, and conduct high-density artificial feeding. This production method occupies a small area, the equipment is simple, the fish grows fast and the yield is high.
