Layer Chicken Lighting Management Note

(1) The lighting duration of laying hens should not exceed 17 hours per day. If the time is too long, it will consume electricity, and the chicken will be prone to fatigue. The damage rate of eggs will increase. Regardless of the arrangement of the lighting time, it must be ensured that the layer has a rest period of 8 hours of darkness. (2) Supplemental lighting time The time for turning lights on and off is regular. Don't change it to avoid disturbing the chicken's living habits, causing anxiety or even panic. The layer's illumination should be extended gradually and cannot be shortened. Otherwise, the egg production will decline. When the time of light increase is too fast, the poorly developed chicken will pass. Early production, or can not afford a physical burden, died early in the egg production. (3) Increase the light and feeding system to organically combine. Feeding light alone will cause fatigue in feeds, especially in winter, when there is no material to eat under light, chickens continue to move and consume more energy, so care should be taken. (4) When light is applied, the elevation of the egg production rate must be adjusted. When the egg production rate rises naturally, the time for increasing the light tends to be slow, and if the egg production rises slowly or does not increase, the lighting time increases. Light intensity cannot be too strong, too weak, excessive power consumption, prone to paralysis, and too weak will not be able to have the effect of light. (5) Chickens of different ages cannot be kept in the same house, otherwise the correct lighting system cannot be implemented. Different types of chicken have different lighting requirements. Different chicken breeds have different feeding and management guidelines. They should be used in combination with the specific conditions of each chicken farm.
