How to improve crab breeding

Experts from China Agricultural University said that the methods for improving crab breeding include the following:

1. Change small area farming to large area farming. Large areas of cultured fresh water, wind surface, high dissolved oxygen, rich natural food, listed crab size, color, and high prices. Therefore, the crab breeding water should not be too small, preferably over 3 hectares.

2. Artificial feeds were changed to reproduce natural foods. Crab ponds are transplanted with enough aquatic plants to be close to natural ecological conditions, and a certain amount of live small fish, snails, lions, and maggots are to be allowed to reproduce naturally so that the crabs can feed freely. When the quantity is insufficient, it must be supplemented in a timely manner.

3. Changed to one year listing for two years listing. At present, most of the crab breeding is the feeding of young crabs cultivated in the early greenhouse. When the crabs were listed in the same year, the crab breeding cycle was shortened from two years to one year. Although the advantages of river crab growth have been brought into full play, listed crabs are generally small in size, averaging about 100 grams each, and they have poor market competitiveness and low prices. Therefore, it is necessary to raise the market size and breeding efficiency of crabs and cultivate them in the first year. Specifications crab species, the second year to develop.

4. Change single crabs for crabs and fish rounds. At present, many crab ponds have been continuously raising crabs for many years. The natural trace elements in the water are few, and crab excrement accumulates. The water quality tends to deteriorate, and the production declines year by year. Therefore, it is possible to carry out crab-rotating rounds, that is, to raise crabs in the first year and fish in the second year in order to increase the breeding efficiency.
