Prevention of double eyelid disease has always been a major problem in the production of strawberries. Previously, crop rotation and chemical disinfection were used. These methods are costly, have low benefits, and pollute the environment and fruit. The use of solar energy disinfection is economical, pollution-free and easy to operate. Methods as below:
1. Fertilization for soil preparation: Between mid-June and mid-July each year, the strawberry plot planted in the previous year is pulled and cleaned up. 500 kg of wheat straw and enough organic fertilizer are applied per acre, and 50 kg of soil purifier is added. Spread the above substances evenly on the cultivated bed surface, and use a rotary tiller to spin till it twice, so that the wheat straw, the base fertilizer and the soil purifying agent are mixed uniformly, and then a high ridge with a height of 25 cm, a surface width of 50 cm and a bottom width of 100 cm is built.
Second, the film buckle shed irrigation: cover the bed with a white mulch. Bamboo sticks are used to support a 1-meter arch shed, and the arches can be used as old sheds last year. Water the sewers under the mulch to make enough water in the saggers. After the plastic film is sealed, it will be treated for 15-20 days and will be prolonged by rainy days. Pay attention to only one time during the disinfection of water, the main purpose of irrigation is to increase the water content in the soil and the humidity under the membrane. It spreads heat to all corners of the soil.
Third, remove the film: After uncovering the film, use a rotary cultivator to spin it over again and rake up and plant the strawberry. Due to the high temperature and high humidity produced by film irrigation (the temperature in the shed can reach 75-80°C and 65-67°C on the surface), it can kill the pathogens, grass seeds and eggs in the soil. The wheat straw used is converted into organic matter. The soil purifying agent becomes available nitrogen, so using this method also has the effect of fertility and improvement of soil structure.
