Ginkgo Storage "Five Methods"

Ginkgo after harvest by peeling, can be stored using the following five methods:
1. Bagging method. The ginkgo was put into a sack, and after being sweated for 7 days, it was put into a plastic bag. The bag mouth was not sealed. Each bag contained no more than 20 kg of fruit. The temperature was lower than 5°C and it could be stored for 6 months.
2. Water storage method. Put ginkgo in a water tank (pool) and soak in water. Change water frequently, and store for 4 to 5 months.
3. Sand method. On the ground in a cool room, lay a layer of 10cm thick wet sand, pile 10cm thick ginkgo on top, and then spread 5cm thick wet sand on top, so pile up several layers, stack height no more than 60cm, can store 3 ~ 5 months.
4. Refrigeration method. The ginkgo is placed in a sack or a bamboo box, placed in a cold storage at 1 to 3°C, and sprayed once every 10 to 15 days to maintain a moist environment and can be stored for 6 months.
5. Library method. When the number of ginkgo is large, it can be stored in sacks, 25-50kg per bagged fruit, placed in a constant temperature warehouse, under a ventilated rack, temperature controlled at 1-4°C, relative humidity 90%. During storage, it should be checked frequently and it can be stored for more than 12 months.
