Submersible pumps are small and lightweight and play an important role in rural production and life. In the application should pay attention to the following points:
(1) When selecting a submersible pump, pay attention to its type, flow, and head. If the selected specifications are not appropriate, it will not be possible to obtain sufficient water output and the unit's efficiency will not be achieved. In addition, the direction of rotation of the motor should also be known. Some types of submersible pumps can produce water when they are rotating forwards and backwards. However, when the reverse rotation is small and the current is large, the reversal of the motor will damage the motor windings. In order to prevent electric shock caused by electric leakage when the submersible pump works underwater, a leakage protection switch should be installed.
(2) When installing the submersible pump, the cable should be overhead and the power cable should not be too long. Do not apply force to the cables when the unit is in water, as this may cause the power cord to break. Do not sink into the mud while the submersible pump is working, otherwise it will cause the motor to dissipate heat and burn out the motor winding. When installing, the insulation resistance of the motor should not be less than 0.5M. The motor below 13kW can be started directly. For the 13kW or above, the starter compensator should be used.
(3) Try to avoid booting at low pressure. The power supply voltage and rated voltage must not differ by 10%. If the voltage is too high, the motor will overheat and the winding will burn out. If the voltage is too low, the motor speed will drop. If the rated speed is less than 70%, the starting centrifugal switch will close, causing the starting winding to be long. The time is energized to generate heat and even burn out the windings and capacitors. Do not switch the motor on and off frequently. This is because when the electric pump stops rotating, it will generate back flow. If it is turned on immediately, the load of the motor will start, causing the starting current to be too large and the winding to burn out.
(4) Do not let the electric pump run over a long period of time. Do not pump water with a large amount of sediment. The dehydration time of the electric pump should not be too long to avoid overheating and burning of the electric motor. During the operation of the unit, the operator must observe at any time whether its working voltage and current are within the values ​​specified on the nameplate. If it does not meet the requirements, the motor should be stopped, the cause must be found out and the fault should be eliminated.
(5) Check the motor more than usual. If it is found that the lower cover has cracks, or the rubber sealing ring is damaged or invalid, it should be replaced or repaired in time to prevent it from seeping into the machine.
